The production facilities and equipment rental company was established decades ago by Oli Laperal, Jr. Today, RSVP is responsible for the production facilities and equipment rental for many TV commercials, feature films, documentaries, TV dramas, etc.
Laperal operates the most complete, most comprehensive, and most updated film production facility and rental house in the Philippines. It has a permanent staff of over 100 fulltime personnel, some of which have trained in Hollywood, London, Munich, etc. RSVP is a factory authorized service shop for many film cameras, lenses, lights, grips, fluid heads, etc. Their world class film gear, some of which are not available anywhere else in Southeast Asia, have filmed in India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, China, Europe and USA. The office is open 24/7/365.
Laperal is very experienced in coordinating & facilitating local and foreign filming requirements, securing government and military permits, importation and liaising with various government agencies.
Laperal was born in rural Philippines. He took up Electro mechanics, De La Salle Engineering College Manila, Cornell University New York B.S. Hotel Administration with Honors, published the operating manual for the Statler Hotel chain, won various scholarships, then an MBA graduate degree, major in Marketing and Finance, also from Cornell Univ.
Laperal has worked at several hotel chains in the USA, Canada and Asia, and was a bank Credit Manager in Wall St. USA for what is now JP Morgan Chase & Co.. In Manila, he worked in banking and finance, insurance, mining, stock brokerage, golf course management and real estate development.
After a minor involvement in Francis Ford Coppola's “Apocalypse Now” as a P.A., water-ski instructor, and a G.I. extra, Laperal decided to devote time to his hobby and passion: film production.
